~ The best commercially available product in the universe? That would be Bath & Body Works Warm Vanilla Sugar Purely Silk Salt Scrub. I will say no more.
~ Plug In To the Web
Look out DSL, there's a new kid in town. It's broadband over power line, or BPL. Communication Technologies and Current Communications, among others, offer the service. You plug in a BPL modem to any power outlet and connect it to your computer. It's in its infancy, but successful projects in Manassas, Va. and Cincinnati bode well, with further service rollouts in the works. Pricing is comparable to other Internet services, with monthly plans starting at about $26.[Kiplinger's Personal Finance; June, 2006, p. 24; Christine M. Varner]
~ Republic of Tea's new Blueberry Green, which is a fundraiser for the Prostate Cancer Foundation. It tastes good, and it does good--how sweet is that?
~ Don't Feel the Burn
"The growing popularity of candles (U.S. sales rose from $1.6 billion in 1996 to $2.3 billion in 2002) has unfortunately led to more fires caused by candle accidents. An estimated 18,000 home fires (more than triple the number in 1990) and about 190 deaths were attributed to candles in 2001, according to the National Fire Protection Association. The good news is that the majority of candle fires can be prevented. Here's how:[Shape; April 2005]
* Keep burning candles in sight. Extinguish all candles before going to sleep.
* Never burn a candle on or near anything that can catch fire, such as drapes, bedding, carpets, books, newspapers, or furniture. Remember that a breeze from an open window can blow a candle over or flick a curtain into the flame.
* Keep candles out of reach of children and pets - including wagging tails.

My comment on this one is, if you're not burning your candles on furniture, then where are you burning them?
~ It is, seriously, 8 minutes after I'd intended to leave for Rkfd. I should probably finish fucking with my hair and get on the road. Bon Thursday, y'all.
