sharing a few layers

...thanks to J.R. (I was beaten to the punch by The Cat.)

I AM: profusely sleepy.
I SAID: several bizarre, borderline-idiotic things during Saturday night's marathon phone call.
I WANT: for my tea to be cool enough to drink.
I WISH: "...I could be more like someone you wish that I could be." I also wish I could see Semisonic at the Minneapolis Aquatennial on July 14!
I HATE: Cheetos.
I MISS: Andrew.
I FEAR: big dogs.
I WONDER: why some of the people I love don't love me back.
I REGRET: 1987-1995, give or take.
I AM NOT: as smart as some people think, or as vacuous as the others are certain that I am.
I DANCE: hee hee hee, in ways that I will never reveal!
I SING: like an angel. On crack.
I AM NOT ALWAYS: as able to think things through as I would like to be.
I MADE: the Dean's List in undergrad and law school, but never in grad school.
I WRITE: every single day.
I CONFUSE: "which" and "that", no matter how many times the difference is explained to me.
I NEED: a minimum of 10 hugs per week to be truly happy.
I SHOULD: delete the word "should" from my fucking vocabulary.
I START: my car before putting on my seat belt, which is a habit that annoys me in others.
I FINISH: almost nothing. Ever.
I BELIEVE: in tiny, benevolent fairy people who visit in dreams to help me figure out complicated stuff that I've been wrestling with.
I KNOW: how to turn my tongue upside down, which makes me a particularly good kisser--and triller of "r"s.
I CAN'T: flare my nostrils on command.
I SEE: dead people silly things that make me laugh almost every time that I go for a drive by myself. It makes me look ridiculous when I'm driving along, alone in the car, laughing like a loon, but it sure makes me feel less insane.
I BLOG: because I'm hopelessly derivative and just wanna be like J.R. No, seriously, because it's my excuse for writing while I'm at work.
I READ: because if I didn't, I would be dead.
I AM AROUSED BY: [that's a blog unto itself]
IT PISSES ME OFF: that the people I love won't just give themselves a break.
I FIND: one poem that I like in nearly every poetry book that I come across.
I LIKE: slipping naked between cool sheets in an apartment that is never quite fully dark.
I LOVE: a long, hot shower in the summertime.
