vacation: day 4

...was my birthday. How did I get to be 38 years old?
Hung out with Mom & Dad most of the day. Started out with breakfast on the East End, beneath the big rock.
the loafloaf detail    Later we went for a walk. This picture shows L Blvd., which runs parallel to the street upon which my parents live. It is very scenic but not a great road on which to drive.
Lake Blvd This is the view back "up" the street where my parents live, showing some of the elevation involved with our walk.

'up' HeightsThis is the exact reverse position to the previous one. In this, the camera faces north.

'down' Heights This is "the other side" of my parents' street, after we've walked in a big circle. Their house is about four ahead on the left (of course, since all that's on the right is bluff).

back 'up' This is the exact reverse shot from the last one. The camera faces roughly West/Northwest here.

back 'down' The bluff, getting closer to my parents' house. The sign is accurate; at various times, I've had to drive around big chunks of rock (etc.) on this street after they've fallen from the bluff...

watch for fallen stuff...like this tree.
poor wittle tree    Went out to dinner with my parents, my bro, his GF, and her daughter. We almost always go to the same restaurant, and this was no exception. As I often do, I ordered the BBQ pork sandwich and seasoned fries. It was awesome as always.
sandwich formerly known as BBQ pork     After dinner, we stood at the corner of the building and talked for a while. I took a couple of pictures of the river view, which doesn't show any river but definitely reveals the beautiful sky.
