- Are you single? Uh, yeah.
- Are your parents still married? Yup. Almost 45 years.
- Are you in love? In a manner of speaking, sort of.
- Do you believe in love at first sight? No. I believe in immediate chemistry, but not love, per se.
- Who ended your last relationship? I'm starting to think that no relationship ends single-handedly.
- Have you ever been hurt by a break up? Of course. Like a broken bone, though, I think it's the healing that hurts the most.
- Have you ever broken someone’s heart? Yes. If it's possible to learn the lesson, I've done so.
- Have you ever had a secret admirer? Yes. None too subtly, and to disastrous end.
- Prefer love or lust? Both, please. Dumb question.
- Prefer a few best friends or many regular friends? Dumber question. I have both, and both are necessary.
- Wild night out or romantic night in? Start with one and end with another. (Or vice versa!)
- Back in the day: been caught sneaking out? No
- Ever wanted something/someone so badly it hurt? Yes. I am sorely tested in this area about 3 times a week.
- Who are/is your best friend(s)? The Cat and Fluffy
- Ever wanted to disappear? All the damned time
- Prefer intelligence or attraction? It's really not separate. I can't be attracted to someone who lacks intelligence. And I couldn't be with someone, no matter how intelligent, if I weren't attracted.
Maybe the question is which of these I would prefer in a potential mate: intelligence or attraction to me? Honestly, I'm starting to think that the two are mutually exclusive. - Last phone call you received? The salon, confirming yesterday's appointments.
- Last thing you drank? Coke
- Before your current one, when was your last relationship? What does 'relationship' mean?
- Do you and your family get along? Yup
- Would you say you have a "screwed up life"? Nah. It's been dramatic at times, though.
- Have you ever gotten kicked out somewhere? Yes. There was a college bar on a corner, with an entrance on each street. I remember at least one time that I went there, with a group of people who were of age, when I was kicked out (I was 18, maybe 19 at the time - drinking age was 21). I was wearing a black leather jacket. The guy who'd driven me there walked out with me. We went to his car. He told me to pull up my hair and he tied it off with some hair-tie that he had in his car (trustworthy? not!). We exchanged jackets: his was light brown and a little big on me, and mine barely fit but looked better on him than it did on me. We got out of his car, skulked through the alley, he wrapped himself around me as if we were the closest couple EVER, and we walked up to the other entrance...where we gained admission with no trouble. I simply stayed out of sight of the bouncer who'd released me into the wild earlier for the remaining couple of hours before 1:AM. At that point, we waltzed past him. He realized what had happened right away and was peeved but couldn't do a thing about it. Victory was mine!
- Do you trust all your friends? Trust is not an absolute proposition.
- Who knows the most about you? The Cat, Fluffy, college BFF, Johnnie - and I suppose the Internet at large, if they're paying attention
