Christmas is a time when you get homesick--even when you're home

the window on the landing between the second and third floors
the "front" window on the second floor - between the front door and the entry closet
the peninsula between the entry closet and my desk
SHARK! dressed up for Christmas
the DVD/CD rack, which lives between the living room and dining room on the South wall
the ridiculously overdone chandelier, gussied up for the holiday
the baby (4') tree, which is next to the decklet door, in the dining room
the kitchen window
the peninsula between the kitchen and dining room, from the kitchen vantage point
the magnetic board that hangs over my monitor

  1. Looking out the kitchen window, it seems your neighbors go a little nuts with the lights.

And I stared at the closeup (enlarged) photo of the dining room light fixture for the longest time trying to figure out why the undersides of the 'candles' were reflecting the hangings so oddly...then scrolled down and found the lit tree. Uh, duh. ;-)

In sum, I like your style.

  2. Yeah, the neighborhood is a bit overdone with the "icicles". My directly-across-the-way neighbors are nicely understated, though. Thank goodness.

I hadn't enlarged the light fixture photo before; when I do so now, it looks terribly discolored and kinda grody. I'm glad you asked (and answered) the question!

Glad you like. I do, too! :)
