life is crazy and maddening and often makes no sense

  1. What is your favorite comic book movie? feh. It's ALL been DONE.
  2. What movie would you recommend for couples to watch on Valentine's day? Trust, the Hal Hartley classic. Or maybe The Unbelievable Truth.
  3. Besides when you were little how many people have seen you completely naked and who? never--not in a billion gazillion years--would I answer that question
  4. Is sex something that should be treated casually? in some ways, it ought to be. It's not always this holy thing to go emotionally overboard about. Yet it's got the potential to be upsetting and dangerous, too, so it's worth taking some time with.
Something to think about, I guess.
  5. Have you ever participated in an orgy? no. Does that even happen anymore?
  6. If no, would you ever consider it? definitely not
  7. What song is in your head right now? after those questions?? "Blue Monday"

  8. What was the best day of your life like? so far, I'm sure it was a day that involved a lot of laughing, affection, learning something new--and some time by myself to sort it all out
  9. What are you all about? the things I just listed, and some others that maybe can't be so easily identified
  10. You have won a contest where you get all these great prizes but you can only keep one for yourself and must give the others away to friends, family or whoever. Which one do you keep and who do you give the rest to:
A $5,000 gift certificate to Radio Shack:
    Rick
  11. A brand new yellow Jeep: Amanda
  12. An all expense paid vacation for 2 to Italy: I'll take that one!
  13. Lunch with N'Sync: Cindy
  14. A lifetime supply of Herbal Essences shampoo: Ronda
  15. A $1,000 check: R
  16. A Palm Pilot? Saucy
  17. An autographed picture of Shakira: DBH
  18. Breakfast with Kid Rock: The Cat
  19. A shirt once worn by Jonathan Davis: Abe
  20. One round of mini-golf with Sharon Osbourne: my sister
  21. A phone call from Robert Smith: Dan
  22. A brand new washer/dryer: D
  23. Free medical insurance for 1 year: Debbie
  24. Who do you think you might have known in a past life? Eric
  25. Do you take vitamins? yes
  26. Do you prefer fake or real flowers around the house? real. Fake flowers are weird.
  27. Sometimes roses are pink, yellow, white or red. If you give someone a rose, does its color change the meaning behind it as a gift? yes, there's a whole art to that sort of thing (apparently).
  28. What's the most deadly thing you can think of? um. Death.
  29. To-MAY-toes or to-MA-toes? may
  30. Out of all your friends, family and the people you know who is the most:
    Intelligent:
    J
  31. Happy: LG
  32. Miserable: the BW
  33. Easily influenced: "the giggler"
  34. Cranky: me? maybe?
  35. Bitchy: my sister (whoa! Two sightings in one day!)
  36. Evil: Adam's Apple
  37. Nice: sap
  38. What's the best live musical performance you ever saw? Incubus
  39. Have you ever had a 'pregnancy scare'? yep. I don't recommend it.
  40. Kelly Osbourne or Madonna's version of “Papa Don't Preach”? not a great song by any means--but definitely Madonna's
  41. Can you change a tire? probably? I've never had to find out (thank God)
  42. Have you ever put your fist through a wall? not through. I've punched a wall and broken the surface. It's been a while...
  43. When do you feel the most relaxed and able to be yourself? at home, on the weekends. There are some other places that come close, friends' houses and so forth.
  44. Do you have a place that is your own where you won't show anyone else? there are places that I will drive to, sometimes, when shit's all stormy and needs to be straightened out in my head. Here and back on the flatland. They're not "undiscovered country" but I don't know that I've ever told anyone that it's where I go when everything's messed up, either. Everyone needs a space that's all their own.
  45. Are you a part of any teams or clubs? in an emotional sense, yeah. As of Saturday (or Friday night) I became part of a new club, the ex-employees of my former work location. Tomorrow is my first day on the new job, which is located in the other (main) building.
  46. Is cheerleading a sport? sure
[From the 5000-question meme; this is the second quarter of the thirteenth part. The title quotation is by David Baldacci, from One Summer]
