242. What’s something that wasn’t as bad as you thought it would be and what is something that was way worse than you expected it to be? the idea of living alone scared the bejeezus out of me, and I rejected it until the alternative became untenable. At that point I discovered that it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
Worst than I expected is easy: the majority of my relationship with a person I knew from the library. I thought she was my friend, and she was not. Period.
243. What off-handed comment a parent made has stuck with you through the years? "You can be better than that."
244. What’s the biggest waste of money? the kind of lawn services that spray your yard full of chemicals to make it greener. It's only goddamned grass.
245. What do you need advice about? Everything.
246. Who do you aspire to be more like? George Clooney. Recently heard that he gave a group of friends a million dollars each (in cash). I'd like to be that kind of friend.

252. What do you think is the best period of a person’s life? depends on the nature of the person
253. What do you think has gotten too socially acceptable? gaps. Separations. Missed connection.
254. What’s the pettiest thing you’ve seen someone do? withhold (valid, earned) employee references
255. What’s the most worthwhile thing a person can spend their time on? what they love. What moves them. What inspires them. What brings them joy. What challenges them. What they cannot do without.
256. What behavior makes you think someone has a lot of class? trustworthiness and follow-through

259. What did you reluctantly try one time and then became a diehard fan of? video poker
260. What have you boycotted? I try not to be like that. Boycotts are rarely as simple as they seem to be, and the people or things that they claim to protect are sometimes hurt more than they're helped.
