music takes me to places of illimitable sensual and insensate joy, accessing points of ecstasy that no angelic lover could ever locate

1. Which is more romantic: an expensive, glittering bouquet OR flowers that were hand picked as they grew beside the parkway?   hand-picked. It's not about the money.

2. Do you know yourself well enough to understand why you feel the way you do?  yes. That does not mean that I always act in a logical manner, but upon cool reflection I can understand it.
3. Which do you do more often: let movies, songs and books put your feelings into words for you or put your feelings into words by yourself?  there are appropriate times for each
4. Do you believe celebrities when they are endorsing a product?  sometimes. It depends on the product. A glamorous woman endorsing top-line clothing designers is believable. A seemingly random connection - an athlete and a non-sports product, for example - is not.
5. What kind of movies do you wish were made more often?  comedies that don't rely on stupidity; dramas that don't fall back on sex, needless violence, or derivations of the word "fuck"; action films that are about acting and not effects; romance with originality; indies that are not pretentious...
6. Does fashion matter to you?  in an aesthetic sense, but not in an emotional way. I don't care about fashion as a life priority.
7. Should politicians be held to the same legal standards as everyone else?  at least, if not higher. As evidenced in the recent U.S. presidential transition phase, there should be limits to things like baseless pardons and looting of federal buildings.
8. If you became president, whom would you invite to sing at your inauguration?  Elbow, 54-40, and Hunters & Collectors
9. Do you try to write/say what you are feeling in a true and simple way? true, yes. Simple, sometimes.
10. What is your worst daily habit?  it's a tie between sleeping on my side (which is causing my neck to get all screwed up) and eating M&Ms
11. If you had your choice which one TV show would you have canceled?  South Park, or pretty much any reality show
12. Do you like the taste of sweet or salt?  I crave salt more than sweet, like chips & salsa or cashews
13. Are you very precise about what words you use to describe your feelings and thoughts?  yes. There are scads of words out there, so use the one you mean.
14. What do you feel the most guilty about?  refusing invitations because I don't have it in me to be social
15. Do you meditate?  in a sense, yes
