What book have you read that you liked most?
that I haven't mentioned before, or at least not for a while: The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry, by Gabrielle Zevin
What brings you the most joy in life?
What experience are you really glad you had?
law school. It's been compared to all kinds of things, such as grade school, a snooty high school, boot camp, and hell... but it teaches you a lot, and not just about casebook law. I learned fortitude and speed reading and how to make friends with discernment. There's no time to be friends with people who can't help you, tangibly, so you have to make friends and be a friend who will provide positive results in the form of study groups or consistently good notes. I learned how to write even more sparely, "how to think like a lawyer," and when to throw that mode of thinking out the window and be human. The degree itself may have done more harm than good, but the education has been really valuable.
What experience are you really glad you had that you are glad is over?
Invisalign. It seemed endless. I did it on purpose and the results are awesome, but I honestly thought that I would have to keep going back to my orthodontist every couple of months for the rest of my life.
What is something you didn’t like but you are glad happened?
° marriage
° tonsillectomy
° winter
If you had to list five things, what would you be most grateful for?
things, not people? In no particular order...
1. hand lotion
2. almonds
3. reliable internet service
4. clean water
5. my "fish ball"
