think of love as a state of grace: not the means to anything but the alpha and omega, an end in itself

Answer: Do you answer texts quickly?  I have, though some people have come to see it as an indication that I'm their 'beck-and-call girl' but won't afford me the same courtesy, so I'm weaning myself of the habit
Balloons: How many is "too many" balloons?  one - I'm not a fan
Call: Call a random person or friend. Tell them wonderful things.  I sent a letter doing that very thing just this morning. Will that do?
Dislike: What are two things you dislike doing?  shaving my legs or washing my car
Earth: Do you like helping the environment?  what am I going to do - say no?
Fun: What are four things you do for fun?  send teasing memes, take pictures of animals with their mouths open, polish my toenails, and read
Gaming: What are some video games you have played?  I haven't played video games in a long time, since my thumbs started shrieking under general circumstances
Handwriting: Post a picture of your handwriting.
Internal: What are 5 things you like about yourself?  eyes, backs of thighs, toes, shoulders, and earlobes
Joke: Tell us a joke.  nobody wants to hear that. Trust me.
Kid: What did you want to be when you were little?  clever
Like: What are three things you like doing?
    1. reading in the sun
    2. exploring a new place
    3. solving puzzles
Making: When was the last time you crafted something?  every damn day, baby. Writing, photographs, cooking...
News: Tell us 3 good things that have happened this week.
    1. with the help of my mom & dad, I've hung up my first bird house and feeders. Probably doesn't sound like a big deal, but it is a sort of milestone. Though I'm notoriously grumpy and not a morning person, birds have been growing on me. I always dug the wrens that stayed in the house that my dad puts out, so I acquired a wren house. That meant getting a shepherd's crook ... which has two hooks ... so now I have a birdseed bell, too.
    2. I discovered that the books in my basement - history, poetry and literature - smell like books in a basement. This sounds like a bad thing except that, having discovered it, I can remedy it. I've started the process of systematically bringing them upstairs and quarantining them in bins with baking soda to draw out the musty smell. I will also acquire (eventually) a bigger dehumidifier for the basement. For now, they'll all be kept up here.
    3. threw away some things and deleted some contacts that I no longer needed.
Okay: For those who are feeling down, tell them why it's going to be okay.  That's like putting on noise-cancelling headphones when working in the ER and just giving each patient who walks in the exact same treatment. Here's your penicillin! Oh, you had a broken leg? And you, a gunshot wound? Huh. Here's your penicillin!
People: Name 2 important people in your life.  "Brian", "Laura"
Quiet: Do you enjoy a quiet or loud environment?  usually quiet, except under certain specific circumstances. Listening to music in the car requires it to be loud, for instance. Watching some movies, too. A few other experiences should be noisy.
Reasons: Do you think there is a reason behind everything?  sure, even though plenty of reasons are illogical or hidden
Sea: Do you like the beaches or the mountains?  I love water, and don't love heights - beaches are for me
Time: How do you spend your time these days?  like a responsible adult
Unconditional: What are 5 things that you search for in a partner?  according to The Internet, the five most important traits between partners in a relationship are: respect, vulnerability, trust, honesty, and empathy.
I require challenge and ... fortitude, for lack of a better word. I would replace the first and last of the above with my two; the middle three are fine with me.
Vacation: Where did you go last for vacation?  the initial intention was Iowa
Weird: What are three weird things that you have noticed other people do?
    1. get hyper about how their yard looks - it's just grass
    2. spend more time getting their boat ready for and cleaned up after going on the river, than actually on the river
    3. put on makeup to work out
XOXO: When was the last time you wrote a love letter to someone?  it's been a few months. When they go unanswered, you eventually learn to stop.
You: What are you doing tomorrow?  tomorrow is Friday. I work until mid-afternoon, then have physical therapy (on my head/neck/back), then pick up this month's migraine shot at the pharmacy. After that, I'll go to work and clean out my fishbowl office for my coworker to move in. And then we're going out for dinner and a drink or two!
Zero: What is something you don't have, but want?  disposable income

[From here and adapted; the title quotation is by Gabriel García Márquez, from Love in the Time of Cholera]
