nobody ever figures out what life is all about, and it doesn't matter

Have you done anything lately worth remembering?     nothing too flashy, just several nice connections with friends and family
What does your joy look like today?     progress toward completion of my second bathroom renovation
Is it possible to lie without saying a word?     clearly
Which activities make you lose track of time?     reading or writing, walking and photographing, kissing, online shoe shopping...
If you had to teach something, what would you teach?     ugh. Very, very obscure grad-level History, I suppose? Or Trusts & Estates. Or alphabetizing.
What would you regret not fully doing, being or having in your life?     how weird! I've been thinking about tennis lately, wondering if keeping up with that would have made things different. There's something profoundly therapeutic about hitting a ball, hard.
Are you holding onto something that you need to let go of?     yes, but aren't we all? I cannot imagine what a "psychologically complete" person would be like. It sounds overwhelming.
When you are 80-years-old, what will matter to you the most?     I hope it's that I got through the fire and out the other side
When is it time to stop calculating risk and rewards and just do what you know is right?     the answer is in the question - when you know what's right
How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are?     lately, I'd be very very old. The last couple of months have been brutal.
Would you break the law to save a loved one?     yup - and I'm pretty sure that I already have
What makes you smile?     today, it was a video forwarded from a friend's friend, of his cat purring
