If you haven’t achieved it yet, what do you have to lose?
the things one could be doing if one weren't putting the time into something else. Opportunities—for money, jobs, connections. There is always something to lose.
What three words would you use to describe the last three months of your life?
cold, quiet, unprecedented
Is it ever right to do the wrong thing?
yes, because the concept of "right" is gray and murky
Is it ever wrong to do the right thing?
well, it does require a little twist of the word "right," into a subjective rather than objective, proscriptive sense. For instance, there is a traffic light in the town where I live. It has sensors, rather than being on a timer. If you're alone at the intersection and not in just the right spot for those sensors, the light Will. Not. Change. So, what do you do? Imagine it's very early in the morning, you're on your way to work, and you get to a light that won't change. Do you just sit there until someone else shows up? Do you back up and turn right (if that's even allowed)? Or do you just GO?
Another example: you're at a special event, and someone you love asks if the outfit they're wearing is unattractive or makes them look fat. Do you do the "right" thing, and tell the truth? Or do you do the kind thing? Nothing's going to change if you say one thing or the other at that point, except that a person you love is going to feel bad - and while stuck at a special event, at that.
These questions illustrate how hard it is for one person to tell another what is right or wrong. How we need to know our own mind on the subject.
How would you describe ‘freedom’ in your own words?
it's the power or right to do whatever one needs or wants, without being stopped or limited by anyone or anything else
What is the most important thing you could do right now in your personal life?
exercise, eat right, and drink more water
If happiness was the national currency, what kind of work would make you rich?
writing reviews
What is your number one goal for the next six months?
make money, and save money
Would you ever give up your life to save someone else?
yes
Are you happy with yourself?
I'm getting there
What is the meaning of ‘peace’ to you?
my first reaction is, "being left alone." Probably not the point of this question, hmm?
It's mutuality; freedom from oppression or stress; calm, and security.
What are three moral rules you will never break?
I try not to make, believe in, or follow rules. I also try not to contemplate morality too much.
What does it mean to allow another person to truly love you?
vulnerability. It means setting yourself up for risk.
