21. What's your Christmas wish?
to be the kitty-sitter
22. Can you stand watching cheesy movies?
some of them, some of the time - sure! A few of my very favorite movies are at least kinda cheesy: Top Secret, The Rundown, and even The Big Blue (in its offbeat way).
23. Are you into collecting?
ha! No, not so much as I used to be. I do still acquire shot glasses, and have begun a unique sports collection that is dear to me.
24. Sweet or savory?
savory, please. I like sweets as much as anyone but would turn them down in an instant for a piece of homemade bread with butter.
25. Do you watch TV, YouTube, or other video sites?
yes, all of the above. Most of my movies are streamed on Amazon Prime lately. I use YT for time-wasting.
26. Do you believe in horoscopes?
"For adult entertainment purposes only." Lots of people are looking for answers anywhere they can find them. Horoscopes offer so-called insight that is easily digestible and easily applicable to almost anyone. What follows is (one of) mine for today - read through it and see if anything might apply to you, too, and ask yourself whether it's maybe just generic pablum....
Meaningful connections might take shape now, dear Virgo, and you may decide to take on a task you passed on in the past because you're now ready for it. You can very well persuade and fascinate others. You're bringing more commitment, depth, and focus to romantic or creative endeavors. Tapping into your deeper feelings can be rewarding, both for healing and bringing more intensity to a project or relationship. You may have been struggling with whether you deeply care or have totally gotten over a situation or person, and now, you seem to know which is which--and it's empowering! Whether it's recognition for your uniqueness or attention from a love interest, the desire can be hard to deny now. You're discovering more about your deeper ambitions and desires that you may never knew you had. There can be a cathartic release, likely through a conversation, artistic activity, passionate union, or even a journal entry. A feeling of closeness, with your own heart or with someone special, is likely. You could be especially focused on making improvements that may not have instant results, but that you know will be worth the effort in the long run.
27. Are you into the meme culture?
this question makes me smile. I have a couple of friends with whom the meme thing is an essential part of our communication. It sometimes takes the place of other, scarier, more intense forms of connection - and that's all right, sometimes. The point is to stay in touch.
Even very good relationships ebb and flow like a Slinky: sometimes close and tight, sometimes loose and erratic. Be like Slinky!
ayup. I've become much more attached to my brother since I moved to my hometown. I appreciate his quiet confidence, his skill with all sorts of stuff (that I don't generally share), his sense of humor (which I often share), and his relationship with our parents, which is a complement to my own.
29. What do you think about really old movies and TV shows, stuff that might be considered a bit quaint nowadays?
love!! The original Perry Mason and M*A*S*H (is that "really old"?) are among my favorites. I adore war movies, particularly WWII in Europe. Westerns, too. And classic comedies or romance - which are often madcap enough to be more comedy than romance - are awesome.
I like to watch old movies because of the quaintness. They rely more on dialog and acting than on effects or expensive distraction. And they often had such small casts that the actors really needed stage-presence and charisma to carry an entire film. That's real acting!
1. Do you often daydream or fantasize about something?
I do, indeed. I've always been dreamy, and it's only gotten more frequent as I get older.
