(from Sunday's Chicago Tribune, in a short article by Allan Johnson)You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees for a hundred miles through the desert, repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body love what it loves. The beginning of "Wild Geese," by Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Mary Oliver, is interpreted by actor Hill Harper to mean you have to do that one thing that makes you happy in life.
"What does this soft animal, this soft-tissue being that I am, what does it love, and therefore, what action should I take around that?" asks Harper, co-star of CBS' new fall series "CSI: New York."
Time to figure it out, and then do it.
