8. Do/did your parents want you to take up something you've never had any interest in? Yes - work
9. If you're eating at a friend's house and they serve you food you don't like, do you try it to be polite? Nope. I prefer the honesty route, so I don't end up in the even more uncomfortable situation later of having to admit that I lied.
10. If I gave you a piece of paper, what would you do with it? Write a poem or a letter
11. What was your favourite candy as a kid? Butterscotch hard candies, which we called "scotchies"

14. What's for dinner tonight? God knows. Probably (homemade) beef noodle soup, but you just never know, do you?

18. What colour is you refrigerator? White? I think? Obviously, I don't really care. It may be off-white.

21. The world is going to end in 48 hours. What do you do? Some bad, some good. Mostly good (in one sense or another).
22. What's the best thing about the place you currently live? The apartment? It's all mine. I don't share it with anyone or anything. The building is good because of the location (which is also part of why it's bad). The city is small but there's stuff to do, and it's pretty close to anything else I'd ever want to do.
23. Would you rather live somewhere else? Where? Yes. I haven't decided yet. Y'all will know shortly after I do, I'm sure.
24. What's worse, antisocial people or people who never shut up? People who never shut up, CLEARLY!
25. Look at your keys. What's the largest one for? I don't even have to look: my car. Gotta love Honda keys; they're easy to find.

30. How did your last relationship end? It depends how you define 'relationship.' For all intents and purposes, the last one sort of just trailed off into nothingness, and neither of us seems to be terribly broken up about it or inspired to do anything to bring it back together.

32. Are you going anywhere tomorrow? Where? Work. It's a Thursday, after all. After work, I've plans to walk with the usual suspects, though it was colder than all get out yesterday and I didn't particularly enjoy the walk.
33. What time do you prefer to get up? When I wake naturally. If I was on a decent schedule, it would be around 11.
34. But what time do you usually have to get up? Between 6:30 and 7

36. White, milk or dark chocolate? Depends. Usually milk.
37. Describe your favourite pair of shoes. Adidas wrestling shoes. I first wore a pair of them in college (my roommate's boyfriend had little feet) and thought they were fantastic. A few years after that, I started looking for them anytime I was in a sporting goods store. Finally found a pair that fit on some holiday with the former spouse in the town where his parents lived. (It was the good thing to ever come out of that place, believe me.) They are white-on-white and fit like they were custom made. Best. shoes. Ever.
38. Even though everyone hates them, how do other people usually stereotype you? If by "them" you mean "stereotypes" - I am often presumed to be a quiet, timid, wishy-washy female (because of the way that I look), or else (by people who have "heard about" but not actually met me face-to-face) to be a colossal bitch.
39. Hot or cold weather? I prefer the in-betweens: fall and spring. I like long-sleeves weather.
40. How do you take your coffee/tea? Tea only, black, and as strong as possible
41. Why do you like that special someone? Because he's special. What a stupid question. I am attracted by people who I find attractive, for one reason or another. The subject of my current interest (bordering on obsession) is tall, dark, handsome, and excruciatingly quiet. And *not* within my price range.
42. Some random politician has decided everyone should stop speaking English and has left it up to you to decide the new global language. What's it going to be? Esperanto

44. Are you the shoulder to cry on or the person who cries on everyone's shoulder? I tend to cry alone, but I am a shoulder to many

51. Are you going anywhere on holiday in the remainder of this year? Thanksgiving, presumably, will be spent elsewhere. And Christmas in the north, as always.
