  no. One of my very best friends had an instructive talk with me about this recently. It seems to be a matter of acceptance—not about accepting money, but accepting who and where we are. Accepting the gifts of friendship and circumstance.

  I got the vegetable question once. And I was once group-interviewed (by 4 people at once) for a job that paid $18k/yr. But the worst was a tag-team interview in which I was seated at the middle of a table with interviewers at each end, so that when one asked a question, I faced her to answer...while the other was free to stare at me and plot her next move. They called to tell me my services were not needed at their organization before I'd returned home from the interview. Bitches, like I'd have accepted it anyway—snort!
