All my photos of the girls are more precious now than I could have anticipated before, but the ones of us together--like this, with H, are especially poignant. Although she was the more "aloof" and able to conform to the more vaguely stereotypical cat-like behavior around people with whom she wasn't too familiar, she was a furry barnacle attached to me from the word Go. Anytime I was stationary for more than a moment (even just briefly, to answer the phone or something similar) she would climb onto me and make herself at home. The position in the picture was one of the easier to get out of, if I needed to, unlike when I'd lie on the floor for some reason (e.g. retrieving something from under the bed) and she'd curl up on my back, in that spot where I couldn't really grab her. Sneaky little beast. Not that I resisted that much....
