the wind shows us how close to the edge we are

The 31-Day Photo Challenge

Day 11: Something you hate
A couple of years ago, I had plans to go home for Christmas. The day before I was supposed to leave, we got a freak ice-storm. Everything--roads, power-lines, trees, cars--was covered with an inch or more of solid ice...and then it snowed. It was a nightmare. Because of the weather that followed, it was impossible for me to make the trip. It was my first Christmas without my family. A lot of my friends made it a LOT better, but it was pretty rough. This picture shows (however blurrily) the ice, with the beginning of the snow on top - and the incredibly low price that we were paying for gas at the time.
