I've never really gotten a handle on lucrative endeavors, but I suppose money isn't everything.
It was a very productive weekend, considering that I didn't leave my place after Friday night. The taxes are filed ($65 net refund, which fits into my overall goal of less than $100 changing hands). I finished a 4-disc mix CD set, which is labeled and ready to go. The laundry is clean and either folded and stored or at least drying (sweaters can take forever to dry in this weather!). I ordered three of the dresses from Modcloth.com, in hopes that at least one will be a definite Yes--and also planning to send at least one of them back. I scanned a sort of ridiculous number of pictures from various Good Old Days for posting on Facebook, primarily at the behest of my college roommate's ex-boyfriend. (Oddly, I'm FB friends with him and not with her.) He was also kind enough to dig up one of his old roommate, my ex-boyfriend, "Marry Me Bill" the rugby player. Strange: I remembered him better looking than that.
I also repotted the two new baby African violets and cleaned the kitchen. And sorted my fiction books, including weeding out roughly twenty that can go to new homes. I also read two books, and watched two DVDs. And talked with my mom for an hour on the phone today.

After. Already the leaves look more sturdy, and a brighter green. |
