May 27: deterge            (seriously?!)
If the weather stays nice tomorrow, I might sneak out to deterge the car.

Tonight, I drank a beer for the first time in 28 days. It (a Samuel Adams Boston Lager) was outstandingly delicious.
I also did not work out, for the first time in 7 days.
I finished the pedicure. I watched a little TV. I did my laundry. I repotted some plants (see below). I performed some text-therapy with a friend in crisis. I text-chatted with another friend while folding the laundry.
All this after getting maybe 4 hours of sleep, total. It was elusive last night; I tossed and turned. I think that reading A Dance with Dragons before bed is no longer a good idea--it's too troubling. I like when a book sticks with me and leaves me thinking, but it's something else entirely when it haunts my dreams.

before! an overgrown jade, philodendron cuttings, "Avo" the avocado, and an aloe bursting out of its pot
Avo, whom I've finally deemed ready for potting (or a slow and painful death) because she doesn't seem to be doing anything more in the cup of water. Fingers crossed, everyone!
the jade, root-bound and waning in the tiny pot,  already looking happier to be spread out in this much larger habitat
philodendron cutting #1
the aloe (which was also root-bound and looking a little pink in the gills - for a plant that's bad news) and phil #2

  1. it is good to have off days from working out... besides with any conditioning program, rest is a big part of the recovery / rebuilding process... I bet that beer tasted outstanding after so long an abstinence ;)
