if you don't take risks, you'll have a wasted soul

May 18: Occam's razor
If you put Occam's razor and Schrödinger's cat into a room together, what's the result?

  1. When was the last time you gave yourself a pat on the back?
    a few moments ago in the shower, probably? For real, it was probably yesterday before that work meeting, when I was completing the written portion of my 'annual' evaluation.
  2. In public restrooms, do you hover or sit?
    sit. Hovering leads to disgusting situations about which I do not like to think. {{{shudder}}}
  3. If you could take back something you did to someone, what would it be?
    the first thing that springs to mind is kissing a certain person in a diner/bar during a snowstorm, the night before he left for Nicaragua
  4. Show and Tell. What comes to mind first when you see this picture? Or, tell a story if it reminds you of one.

    It was a dark and stormy...afternoon. The rain beat heavily on the, er, extremely dirty windowpanes. I was glad for it; for the first time in God knows how long, I could see outside the one-room shack that I'd come to call home. It's lonely in here, and I often find myself meowing at those dust-encrusted windows, hoping someone will hear my cries and open the door.
    But wait! Now that the glass is clearing, there room is getting lighter. Now my surroundings are more distinct. Not only am I alone in this room, but there's something shiny...what is that? What is the only thing in here with me?
    Oh. My. God. It's a razor
[from The Cat, who got it here; the title quotation is by Drew Barrymore]
