life is just a series of trying to make up your mind

June 14: comity
'The shoe rule' was reportedly violated today by the person who made it; if that is determined to be true, I will not be held accountable for my failure to continue to pretend to comity.

  1. When was the last time that you went out dancing? I don't think I've ever specifically gone out dancing. I've danced while out, sometimes inadvertently. Does that count?
  2. Have you ever had an argument with a teacher? oh, Hell yeah. That's what college was for: learning how to do that, and also learning the importance of doing that!
  3. Do you have a tough time remembering people’s names? nope
  4. Would you rather change your past or know your future? a little of both. Knowing my future seems more like cheating, though, so I guess I'd skew toward changing the past. Wait: how about changing my future?
  5. What’s one thing you feel you must do in your life before it ends? die, I guess. The rest isn't much up to me.
  6. How many credit cards do you have right now that have a zero balance? a couple. I'm not dripping in credit cards in any case.
  7. What is the most expensive thing you purchased this year? it took me a surprisingly long time to figure this out--it was the dress! In a couple of weeks it'll be a fake tooth, though. What fun is that?!
  8. If you're married, this probably doesn't apply to you, but: Are you mindful about getting tested for STDs/HIV at least semi-regularly? Why/why not? Married people: Were you mindful about this type of thing when you were single? Why/why not? there is more to sexual health than just the "testing to see if you've picked up something from someone else." Everyone who's reached an appropriate physical age ought to be taking proper care of this aspect of her/his own life.
And, yeah, that goes double for people with spectacularly bad taste in companions.
  9. If you could ask the president of the United States one question, what would it be?
I would totally ask for a job. I could write the fuck out of some of his correspondence, I think.
[from The Cat, who got it here; the title quotation is by Timothy Fuller]

  1. WTF is "the shoe rule"??

Yes, you could write for the Prez. Or anyone else, for that matter. ;-)
