you don't know who is important to you until you actually lose them

My uncle passed away this morning, very suddenly and unexpectedly.

I don't yet know how to feel about it. I mean, I know how I feel about it, but the news really hasn't had a chance to sink in yet.

The drive north will let that happen. Not sure when I'm going or how long I'll be there, but I'm headed home again.
