286. What scene from a movie traumatized you when you were a child?  I don't recall being traumatized much as a child, especially when I was permitted to watch movies!

287. What are the best and worst effects of social media becoming popular?  best: It's brought a lot of people into contact with others physically distant, and maintained that social contact in times of need. 

    worst: It's a false world that masquerades as a real one, confusing perspectives and distracting from the vital point.

292. What shows intro do you always watch all the way through?  they start out like background music and after a season or so begin to grate on me; I almost never watch them all the way through

294. What music videos made a strong impression on you?  I am a child of the 80s, so ALL of the early videos made a strong impression on me. Their mere existence seemed to alter the universe.

296. What old movie plots just wouldn’t work today because of modern technology?  anything involving missing a phone call. I miss the old days, when there was some mystery when the phone rang about who was on the other end.

297. What TV or movie trope never actually happens in real life?  a woman being comforted when she's crying inexplicably

299. How do you find new shows/music?  my movie recommendations come from previews on the DVDs I watch, or from the mysterious Amazon Prime matrix. Music almost always comes from the movies I watch as well, unless someone shares a song with me that they think I'll like.

300. What’s the weirdest piece of media you’ve seen or heard?  that's asking a lot, given some of the media I've seen.
