once in a while I go off on a spree and make a fool of myself, but I always come back, and in my heart I love her all the time

Would you rather ...

buy your girlfriends diamond rings or take them on an island getaway?
rings. I've not traveled (extensively) with my friends, and, um... rings are forever, anyway.
fight one bear-sized duck or ten duck-sized bears?
one huge duck. Easier to fight one thing than more than one, regardless of size - probably?
get free college or free healthcare?
I would take the cost of my post-secondary education as a hedge against healthcare costs, yeah
take a stroll on the beach or grab morning coffee together?
   stroll
give up your phone or your dinner?
I have a friend whose family has a "no phones at the table" rule, which is enforced even for newcomers. It is a little startling and very welcome.
I would give up my phone for an hour to eat, yeah.
have a high-powered job and no time with your family or an average job and plenty of time with your family?
I would love to have a low-powered job and loads of time, however it was spent.
grow an extra finger or extra toe?
polydactyl
finger, because it would fit all right into mittens but shoes with extra toe room would be a nightmare
gain the ability to fly or speak any language?
flying is not nearly as interesting as speaking (actually, reading) other languages
kiss in Paris or kiss in a tent in the woods?
kiss in a tent in the woods outside Paris
live alone or with roommates?
   hahahahahahaha
live forever or pass naturally in your sleep?
   zero desire to live forever
take your child to work or your pet?
if I had a child...I would still take my pet. If I had a pet.
use a dating app or go on a blind date?
  blind date
work a job where you interact with people all day or work a job where you are at a desk all day?
  glorious, wonderful, peaceful desk job!
work for the best boss or be your own boss?
   work for the best boss
work four-day weeks or work two months on and one month off?
four-day weeks would be better. Two months on, one month off would pretty much guarantee that I'd never go back!
