2. What do you like to wear when you feel fancy? "feel fancy" is not a phrase in my vocabulary, but anyway— I love dresses, high heels, silk pantyhose, fine jewelry.... I should have been born 20 years sooner, though, because the lines in that era really suit me.
3. How often do you try something completely new? when the opportunity arises, I like to take it. Just last week, I tried something called Amish Wedding Salsa. It was as exciting as it sounds, but still worth trying.
4. Do you enjoy weddings? no
5. Have you ever had something customized? when I was around 12 years old, I had a personalized baseball jersey-style mid-sleeve t-shirt with my name on the back
6. Do you cook spontaneously or meal plan? spontaneously, always. Meal plans repel me.
7. Books you like to read over and over? oh my gosh, there are so many! I'm currently rereading Nevada Barr's Anna Pigeon/National Parks mysteries (there are 19 in the series) and Julie Anne Long's Pennyroyal Green historical romance series (which includes 12 books). I read around 6 of the Barr books, and then started interspersing one from Long in between each. It's nice to go back and forth from the sometimes heavy mysteries with the lighthearted (but incredibly well-written) romances.
8. What are you really good at? jigsaw puzzles
10. What is the easiest recipe you know? lasagna
9. Do you sleep with windows open or a fan on? window screens in my new place are tighter than at the house, so it's possible that I will start doing that again. Definitely with a fan, which is new for me in the last couple of years. Fresh air is good!11. Are you comfortable starting conversations with strangers? not at all!
12. Do you prefer quiet, or ambient noise when you relax? quiet
13. Who is your most adventurous or exciting friend? my traveling man. He's lived a fascinating, varied life and, more importantly, has a limitless, adventurous mind.
14. What do you eat when you can’t decide what to eat? cereal or toast
