2. What makes someone a best friend?
it depends. The best friends I've had are not much alike except that they appreciate those things that make me myself.
4. Tell me a movie/song/TV show/playbook that has changed your life.
"changed my life" is overstating it, but Trust (the Hal Hartley 1990 film) was inspirational. It was the beginning of my love affair with indie films.
6. Can money buy happiness?
emphatically No. It can buy things, and it can pay for experiences, and it can smooth the way—but it, in itself, is not worth anything when compared to being happy.
8. Is there anyone close to you that you know you can’t trust?
there are 2 people who come to mind when I consider that. Not that someone I cannot trust can really be close to me.
10. Have you spent a night in the hospital?
only as a newborn (I'm assuming I did then?)
12. Have you ever been bullied?
yes. Tina in junior high, Jule in high school, various people at various jobs. I think it's part of growing up.
16. What is your quirkiest habit?
my habits are not "quirky", to me
18. Someone close to you is dying! You have the choice to let this person live for 10 more years but if you do you cause the death of 10 strangers.
yep, all right. Human relationships create preferences. I'm not gonna apologize for caring about the people I love.
20. When you’re alone in your own home, do you talk out loud to yourself?
nope
22. Could you be in a long distance relationship?
well, yeah
24. Who was your first crush?
Brad
26. Are you an early bird or night owl?
I am a night owl who is increasingly susceptible to others being early birds
28. Do you believe in giving kids medals and trophies for participation?
lord, no. It sets another layer of expectation and entitlement in the little buggers
30. How do you express your creativity?
interpretive dance
32. Give me the story of your life in 6 words.
And yet, I love him still
[from here; the title quotation is by Charles M. Schulz]
