born-a high forever to fly / If you want, your cup I will fill

26) Are you happy with the person you've become?
in a sense, yes. But overall I have come to think about "happy" as a meta-concept, not a current condition descriptor. That means that I think happiness is best understood prospectively or retrospectively, not in the present moment. Having the conscious thought—"I am happy"—means not having conscious thoughts like, "this ice cream is delicious" or "that conversation was thought-provoking and fascinating" or "mmm, swimming." This is a classic example of not seeing the forest for the trees.

27) What's a sound you hate; sound you love?
    love: cat snoring
    hate: pulse oximeter beeping

28) What's your biggest "what if"?
not the biggest, but one that I can't let go is having made the choice not to pursue an MLIS while working at the library. It would have been a natural step, should have been encouraged by any and all of my directors, and would be making a huge difference right now.

29) Do you believe in ghosts?
no, but I believe in hummingbirds, and favorite songs, and seeing initials in license plates

31) What is the single best decision you have made in your life so far?
    red pill

32) What's the worst place you have ever been to?
    Atlanta.
or a Chinese buffet in Tupelo, Mississippi

33) Can insanity bring on more creativity?
absolutely! This is one of my secret fascinations—the interplay between psych and inspiration, illness (both mental and physical) and insight, and anything else in this vein. Believe it or not, I have a few books and some articles on the subject....

35) To you, what is the meaning of life?
    connection

36) Define “Art”.
    my first real boyfriend's dad

37) Do you believe in luck?
luck, coincidence, right place at the right time, whatever - yes

38) In your opinion, what makes a great relationship?
    money, sex, and alcohol

39) What's a song that always makes you happy when you hear it?
    "Mellow Yellow" by Donovan

[from here and divided; the title quotation is from #39]
