Have you ever had a mentor? Been a mentor?
I have informal mentors, whether or not they know it. I've tried to be a mentor but every time turned out to be a friend instead. Oh well.
What current trend makes no sense to you?
A cartoon on Facebook highlighted a few 'weird' things that make you happy as an adult, including: writing with a nice pen; having plans cancelled; freshly cleaned sheets; eating the corner brownie; cleaning the dryer lint screen; and sipping coffee in the morning. Of the 'weird' things listed which one makes you happiest? What is one more 'weird' thing you'd add to the list?
cancelled plans, for sure! Affectionate Amy sometimes makes plans that Introvert Amy would not.
I would add to that: finding the slotted spoon in the drawer on the first try; trusting my parallel parking ability; and shaving my legs without any nicks.

Lake Superior University presents a list of words/phrases they'd like to see banished (for overuse, misuse, or general uselessness). A recent year's top votegetters were: unpack, dish (as in "dish out the latest rumor"), preowned, onboarding/offboarding, nothingburger, let that sink in, let me ask you this, impactful, covfefe, drill down, fake news, hot water heater (hot water doesn't need to be heated), and gig economy. Which of these words/phrases would you most like to see banished from everyday speech and why? Is there a word not on the list you'd like to add?
I loathe "onboarding," and always read it as "waterboarding" first.
My least favorite word is "hack." Life hack, job hack, network hack. Hack hack hack!

When did you last have a bowl of soup? Was it made from scratch or from a can? Your favorite canned soup? Your favorite soup to make from scratch?
last soup was Progresso chicken with herbed dumplings, a couple of weeks ago. It is one of my favorite canned soups, along with Progresso lasagna-style and their tomato basil. The only soup that I make regularly is chili.
