a wise man is content with his lot, whatever it may be, without wishing for what he has not

21) Have you ever flown a kite?
yup, when I was a little kid
22) Do you wish on your fallen lashes?
    nope
23) Do you consider yourself successful?
not much lately. I'm seriously trying with some things. Other things, I'm...letting go.
My definition of myself is changing. I used to be employed, responsible, money-earning, and "never fired." If not ambitious, at least always working. Not greedy exactly, but acquisitive - occasionally motivated by money, or what I can do with it. I'm discovering that I can get by with much less. But it's still taking me a while to get back in the game. I'm floundering.
    So: no. Not really successful.
24) When was the last time that you made an obscene phone call?
    far too long
25) Have you ever asked for a pony?
God, no - horses scare the crap out of me
26) Plans for tomorrow?
doing a 5k and then trying to finagle my brother to help me with some stuff around the house
27) Can you juggle?
    only metaphorically
28) Missing someone now?
    now and always
29) When was the last time you told someone "I love you"?
    a week or so ago
30) And truly meant it?
I would never say that if I didn't mean it
31) How often do you drink alcohol?
maybe once in 3 or 4 months, if I'm lucky
32) How are you feeling today?
cold, nostalgic, sneezy, annoyed and antsy
33) Have you every tried to write a meme?
no, that's not an interest of mine
35) What are you looking forward to?
there are a couple of birthdays coming up..
36) Have you ever crawled through a window?
yup, probably 3 or 4 times - but not for a couple of decades
37) What's the most recent bad meal that you had to endure?
I had dinner with my family last week at the grill on the other end of town. My French dip was more of a cheesesteak, the au jus was oily and flavorless, and the "fruit cup" was a sliced apple.
38) Can you handle the truth?
    that's almost funny
39) Who's to blame for what's going on?
    I am
40) What will it take to fix it all up?
about $170,000 to get it back to where it ought to be, plus another $30,000 ongoing. That's not gonna happen.
