• are you more of an optimist or pessimist?
My standard answer to this, however posed, is that I'm a realist. That's not exactly true, though. I'm a dreamer. Does that make me an optimist? Not hardly. I guess I feel like I'm not in that realm ... anymore.
• which high school stereotype do you fit into best?
I was a music nerd/punk wannabe.
• who did you last dance with?
Probably Clint
• why is your best friend your best friend?
She's a great listener. She's beyond funny. She makes outlandishly good food across the board but especially sloppy joes, lasagna, and every Christmas dessert and cookie. She takes wonderful pictures and often shares with me. We trust each other, rely on each other, and celebrate each other. She's good people.
• would you rather be immortal or objectively beautiful to everyone?
Immortality is too horrible to imagine, so I suppose that leaves "objective beauty"—which is not even theoretically possible.
• what’s the relationship with your siblings like?
One sibling is off in a world by themself. My relationship with the other is very good. We see each other roughly once a month, text often ("often" being a relative term), and maintain our sibling harassment/affection adequately.
• when did you last have to work really hard to achieve something you’re proud of?
I took 26 hours of continuing legal education over 5 days in June. That is a great deal of heavy material to absorb in a short time.
• why did you last go on a road trip?
July
• what’s your signature ‘look’?
Lately it's been t-shirts, shorts, little white socks, and Sauconys laced tight.
• where were you when you watched your favourite movie for the first time?
I saw Trust for the first time at the house in DeK. And I saw The Professional for the first time at the apartment in Syc.
• did you apologise the last time you were unreasonably mean?
Yes, I did. Over and over. But it still destroyed the best thing I'd ever been a part of.
• what’s one piece advice you would give to someone two years younger than yourself?
At this age, two years is absolutely nothing. My advice would depend on the person.
• who do you look to for guidance in times of need?
That depends on the need.
• what’s one ‘weird’ feature that you love about yourself?
The dichotomies. I'm strong but still sensitive to hurts and slights. I'm logical and imaginative. I'm dependable, yet flighty. The list goes on.
• why did you last pretend to be something you’re not?
It's what I have to do to get by.
• the last time you made a decision that everyone around you told you not to make, how did it work out?
Just fine. I bought a car, sight-unseen, off the internet. It's a great car that I still love.
