TV show of the year? I haven't watched new TV for ages. My favorite of the shows that I've seen this year was Criminal Minds.
Favorite actors of the year? I've seen a lot of Kevin Costner and Gregory Peck films in 2022
Game of the year? definitely watched more football than any other sport again this year
Something that made you cry this year? not too much. I'm happy and proud to say that my doctor has told me that I can stop using antidepressants all together, for the first time in 3 years. I'd stopped using the first in January, and as of the end of October will be free of the second. And, so far so good, there have been no side effects or drama mood changes. Here's to a drug-free future!
Something you want to do again next year? participate in lots of 5ks
How was your birthday this year? relaxing and lovely
Favorite book you read this year? Poems of the Sea
What’s a bad habit you picked up this year? paying for TV service... sigh. I'm now subscribed to Peacock and Paramount.
A memorable meal this year? I recently spent a weekend being indulged with some of my favorites—grilled burgers; bacon, eggs & toast; and slow-cooked shredded beef sandwiches
What are you excited about, coming up? a number of 5ks and a couple 10ks over the next few months
What’s something you learned this year? that green beans are not the devil
What’s something new about your place of residence (room, home, or general location) now versus the start of the year? always simplifying. Less furniture, less stuff on top of it.
Favorite place you visited this year? RPG in Lawrence
If you could send a message to yourself back on the first day of the year, what would it be? "get out before you're got out"
[from here; the title quotation is by William Makepeace Thackeray, from Vanity Fair]
