friendship must be about something, even if it were only an enthusiasm for dominoes or white mice

What experience from this past year do you appreciate the most?
visiting Lawrence, Kansas again. If anything, I liked it better this most recent time. In fact, I recently dreamed that I was hired straight out of school to work at their public library, which would be incredible!
What is the most enjoyable thing your family has done together in the last three years?
my parents, my brother and I have breakfast together nearly every weekend. Even more than the big events, those everyday meals are the most enjoyable thing for each of us. We keep in real touch, share what's new, talk about old times, and keep each other close.
How many hours of television do you watch in a week?
the lumberduke
I watch one ongoing show—Leverage : Redemption—and a few movies here and there.
What is the biggest obstacle that stands in your way right now?
     just money
What do you sometimes pretend you understand that you really don’t?
     science
What’s something new you recently learned about yourself?
I'm good at telling stories. It's always been what I've wanted to do, in various ways. Photography is storytelling. History is, too. Even law is a way of telling stories, since it is often about viewpoint and emphasis rather than incontrovertible "facts." And, of course, by writing.
In one sentence, how would you describe your relationship with your mother?
my mom has strong feelings, some of which I mirror but others that I definitely don't, and through everything has only ever wanted what's truly best for me.
What was the most defining moment in your life during this past year?
      defending my limits
What’s the number one change you need to make in your life in the next twelve months?
    just money
What makes you feel secure?
      seat belts and retirement plans
What is your favorite sound?
      kitty purrs
What are the top three qualities you look for in a friend?
good listening, a sense of the absurd, and an appreciation for rodents!
