I took offense, which means it's true

Park City, Utah:
A table full of writers. As the waitress put down the chips and
salsa, I said I love Mexican restaurants because they feed you
immediately. Rodney Jones leaned forward and said, "You've
got the soul of a fat woman." I took offense, which means it's
true.
—Mr. Daylater: Will you change the names, B. A.? I
bet you'll change the names. Pathetic, your need to
            be liked.
