22. Did you do well in high school?
I did well, but was by no means a top student. Studying did not come easy for me, so I didn't really try. When I was young, if something was hard then I gave up quickly. In fact, that's been a weaknesses throughout my life.
Classes that I liked - such as English, Band, or History - went well, maybe mostly because it was effortless. The required stuff that I didn't like - Math, Physics, Speech - did not go so smoothly. My report cards regularly indicated that I wasn't "applying myself." When the going gets tough, this scaredy cat gets going.
23. Have you ever stolen from a supermarket?
not in the ordinary sense. I did, however, work in a grocery store during the end of high school and most of college. There may have been a few donuts that went missing over that period, especially fresh sour cream donuts, which are better than anything else for jump-starting out of a hangover. Yum!
24. Do you enjoy the thrill of gambling?
I enjoy the challenge of gambling, which is somewhat different. Slot machines and other "pure chance" games are not interesting to me; it feels like poking buttons over and over, expecting a different result from one time to another. I like a couple of games that require and reward strategy.
This probably makes it sound like it's something that I do with frequency. It's been years since I've set foot in a casino.
25. What’s your guilty pleasure food?
at the moment, it's more salt, more better. I would skip ice cream or a piece of cake in favor of potato chips or bread with butter, no question.
26. How much time can you spend bathing?
in the right tub under the right circumstances, I will happily take a nice, long soak. Preferably with bubbles.
In my current situation, however, I'm in and out of the shower in 10 minutes.
27. What was your favorite subject in high school?
History
28. What’s the most dangerous situation you’ve willingly put yourself into?
I once flew 1000 miles to meet a guy. Looking back, that was pretty damned dangerous. At the time, though, it seemed... if not normal, at least "under control." I was lucky; the man turned out to be sweet, kind, and a good friend. That's maybe the story of my life, how fortunate I've been to get through the situations I've put myself into.
29. Do you actively seek comfort in life?
of course! I'm skeptical about people who sacrifice too much comfort.
30. Would you own a gun if it was legal in your country?
this is a really interesting question, which makes me wonder where this meme originated
1. What’s your definition of love?
it's a way you live, not just a thing you have or even a thing you do.
