1) Total amount of music files on your computer:
At work, 1.69 GB for 509 files.
At home, 1.67 GB for 503 files.
2) The last CD you bought was:
purchased along with 3 others. I realized I'd been listening to Something Like Human by Fuel and Fallen by Evanescence far too much to justify (in my own legal mind) their continued existence in my collection in dubbed form, so I ordered them. And since I was in ordering mode, I decided to pick up the two Papa Roach discs that I didn't have: Lovehatetragedy and Getting Away with Murder.
3) What is the song you last listened to before reading this message?:
I was listening to the NM-I on the way back from the big city, so it was Eleanor McEvoy's "Whisper a Prayer to the Moon," to be followed by "Secret Smile" by Semisonic.
4) Write down 5 songs you often listen to or that mean a lot to you:
Following J.R.'s lead, the first five to come to mind are--
"Volare," by Dean Martin. It reminds me of a very sweet, very personal experience in the snow.
"Porcelain," by Better Than Ezra. The lyrics really, really [really, really] get to me, every time.
"A Thousand Miles," by Vanessa Carlton. I know, it's sort of schmaltzy, but it resonates with me right now.
When I think of you
And I wonder
If you ever
Think of me"
"This Time" by Uncle Kracker. Well, the whole Seventy Two and Sunny CD is excellent, but that song particularly, slays me. "I could buy you a ring, but you'd rather have the cash." Love it!"One Thing" by Finger Eleven. Can't hear it without turning the volume up so high that the rear-view mirror threatens to throb off the windshield.
5) Who are you going to pass this stick to and why?
* Robert, because he didn't deal with the last gift that I gave him yet,
* and Molly, because I'm interested to see what she likes,
* and Johnnie, 'cause I don't think he'll partake of something so prosaic on his scandal-mongering blog. ;)
