I'm not so fond of roses. I don't really like the color yellow. And I'm broke. But I was waiting in line at the grocery store, much closer to the floral area than I typically check out (since I went much earlier than I ordinarily go, so it was staffed further to the right of the store than usual), and they caught my eye. They are beautiful, and something about them seemed necessary on this cold and rainy May Day. Wherever you are, Steve: balls to the wall.
