• Do you hold grudges easily? Of course. I had a special pouch made.
  Seriously - not really. I think I have enough "real" problems; I don't need grudges.
• Do you suffer pain from a past hurt? Yes
• Can you handle constructive criticism? Yes. Occasionally I am even gracious about it.
• In this world what makes you the happiest? As opposed to the other world? Kitties, Coke, kisses, good books, flannel jammies, music, and sleep.
• Do you believe colors express your personality? Yup
• Who do you respect the most? Depends on the situation. My family; my friends; some of my teachers; some of the people who've been the hardest on me and left me with wounds that will never heal - because it was the right thing to do.
• What is an interest of yours that others would find silly? My incongruous collections, I suppose. Hats (I don't wear 'em), chopstick rests (I don't use 'em), shot glasses (I don't drink 'em)....
• Do you believe there is a god? I believe in something. Is that enough for now?
• Do you fall for romance movies? Not usually. I enjoy them, but there is a sense of unreality.
• Do you fall in love too quickly? No, just with the wrong fucking people.
• Do you believe in destiny (fate)? (Yes)
• Do you often get annoyed by cell phones? My own phone makes me crazy about 10 times a day. Other peoples' don't bug me much, but I'm not often exposed to them from inside my hermit-hole.
• Do you catch yourself running from situations? No? What an odd question.
• What would you consider to be your best talent? Either gift purchasing or tongue kissing
• Which do you value more, family or friends? Like, upon which would I place a higher price were I to advertise on eBay? I wouldn't trade them. Any of them.
• Do you like card games? Yes. I wonder why The Cat-Beasts and I have never played?
• Ever been swimming in a lake or river? Mmm! Yup.
• Ever been to a bonfire party? Not in a coon's age, but, yeah. They leave me stinky and congested, but they're fun.
• Have you ever been on a horse? {shudder}
• What's irritating you right now? My feet are cold, the site of my flu shot injection aches like a sonofabitch, and my mood could best be described as execrable [Incidentally, I'm writing this on Wednesday night, 12-10-08. Happy anti-anniversary, H.]

• Are you afraid of the dark? No. I like the dark. I want more dark.
• Do you get distracted easily? Huh?
• What is the last thing you did before you went to bed last night? Whapped myself across the head repeatedly, drank some water, wrote in my journal, and slathered lotion on any body part that I could reach
• Is this year the best year of your life? God, I hope not
• Do you have any strange phobias? Nah. They're all perfectly normal
• Is it easier to forgive or to forget? I can forget lots of stuff. About twice a day I forget a password, or where I parked my fucking car. And I can easily forgive perceived slights or errors that my friends take too seriously (and for which they apologize to me). The big stuff, though? I'm not good at either.
• Do you give out second chances too easily? I'm not Johnnie, but I'm getting better at not taking the short stick all the time. It's a hard goddamned lesson to realize that you're worthy of more than you're going to get, from someone whose affection and attention you desire.
• Have you dated people who weren't good to you? Um, yes.
• Do you believe everyone deserves a second chance? No
• Where is your cell phone? Kitchen table? Not sure. Probably there or the bedside table.
• What time did you go to sleep last night? 10:something
• Are you excited for the future? At least in the sense that it's not the past
• Your first ex shows up randomly at your house, what do you say? Well, if it's the first person who *I* would consider an ex, it would be a literal miracle, since he's dead. The first ex who would consider himself an ex, though - he knows where I live, so it wouldn't be shocking. Weird and tasteless and annoying, yes. What would I say? "Hey, Paul. Where's your wife?"
• When was the last time you yelled at someone? Earlier today, I channeled my internal lawyer during a conference call. There was complete silence while I spoke (which, believe me, NEVER happens!), followed by some soft spluttering and a universal "huh!" Assholes.
• When was the last time you talked to one of your best friends? Fluffy gave me a ride to my car at 5:15.
• Have you done anything you regret [this month] so far? Yup.
• Is there any emotion you're trying to avoid right now? I'm dealing with the whole blender full. If you can identify it, it's in there someplace. meh
• Have you ever slapped anyone? Yes. The last time I kissed Nick, I also slapped him. Wish I'd picked up on that little trick a decade or two ago!
• What's your last text message say? "I was just kidding." (Damned fucking right you were, idiot.)
• Have you ever been called Prince/Princess? Sort of. Someone memorably accused me of being a "drama queen."
• Do you wear make-up everyday? Pretty much
• Who do you go to when you need someone to talk to? Depends what I need to say. Each of my friends knows that she/he is there for me when no one else would understand. I am incredibly grateful for the wealth of friendships that I've lucked into.
