    I'm sick. Viral upper respiratory infection + bad allergies + my adorable Dr. Cutie said, "And, confidentially, you look like hell." The truth hurts, eh?
    I got to work very close to on time today, even though I stopped at the bakery. Hey, it was simple self-preservation. I was out of cereal, so there was no breakfast, and also out of bread, so no lunch either. (Yes, I'm a terrible excuse for an adult, and it's amazing that I've survived this long.)
    The new job starts tonight. It feels strange to be excited about work.
    We're listening to my iPod on shuffle, currently "The Cool, Cool River" by Paul Simon. Holy crap, what an amazing song - and what an artist, to have written...
