massive NYE quiz-a-rama

    1. Will you be looking for a new job? Am I ever not?
    2. Will you be looking for a new relationship? Er, maybe?
    3. New house? Yup
    4. What will you do differently in '10? In all seriousness, I'm trying to write better. I mean, my handwriting has become really atrocious, and I'm trying to clean it up. It's not a resolution, really, but just the continual improvement plan.
    5. New Year's resolution? Erk. Not reading ahead, obviously. I try not to do resolutions.
    6. What will you not be doing in '10? Paying student loans! Woohoo!
    7. Any trips planned? I'm receiving, not sending, thus far. I have the feeling that I might make it out to NY (and if I do, I'm SO going to Montgomery!), and maybe OK...unless I can convince Heidi to meet me in Miami!
    8. Wedding plans? There are no weddings on the horizon of which I am currently aware.
    9. What's on your calendar? Shopping tomorrow with Shoe. Haircut appointment on Friday. Something with the Cat & the artcat during January.
    10. What can't you wait for? Friday, for different reasons.
    11. What would you like to see happen differently? I'd love to see work begin an hour or two later in the morning. Seems unlikely.

    14. Will you be nicer to the people you care about? No, I plan to punch them in the face each time I see them. Duh?
    15. Will you dress differently this year than you did in '09? Yup. I'm sneaking away from the uniform.
    16. Will you start or quit drinking? I plan to drink excessively.
    17. Will you better your relationship with your family? Despite a campaign from someone with whom I share space in the employment zone - no, probably not. I'm good with those that matter, and those that don't, do not.
    18. Will you do charity work? Unlikely.
    19. Will you go to bars? Yes, and I will drag yon Cat with me. hee hee hee
    20. Will you be nice to people you don't know? Doesn't sound much like me, either. Hmm.
    21. Do you expect '10 to be a good year for you? Yes. Always the optimist. Har!
    22. How much did you change from this time last year til now? I'm not sure it can be expressed quantitatively. I feel immeasurably different.
    23. Do you plan on having a child? Considering recent conversations: HA! Not if I can help it, and if I do, at least three people will NEVER know it.
    24. Will you still be friends with the same people you are friends with now? Yes, and then some.
    25. Major lifestyle changes? probably not.

    16. What was your most challenging area of home management? waiting to buy the new computer, and doing without a camera for the whole year

    • I started: corresponding with someone who's become...well, like a brother, but somehow more, too
    • I was hugely satisfied by:smiles on the faces of friends
    • And frustrated by: actions taken by people I thought were, if not to me, sort of objectively decent, but who I now know to be far less than they pretend to be
    • I am so embarrassed that I: stopped walking with the walking buddies when I was sick in July and never started up again
    • Once again, I: found it difficult to resist the siren call of the delivery guy
    • Once again, I did not: hold back from spending a lot of money impulsively, this time on a trip (which I don't regret at all)

    • The biggest psychological difference between me last December and this December is: in some ways I was more lonely this year

    • I should have spent more time: tra la la~"should" is not such a welcome word in my vocabulary

    • I worried: about being good enough for SCH
    • I didn’t: realize that I'm good enough. Period.
    • My fookin' family just about drove me crazy.
    • The most relaxing place I went was: Cat- and Beastville.
    • Why did I: not try harder to like the other nephew? (Don't worry; I already know the answer to that one.)
    • The best thing I did for someone else was: putting together some music a couple of days before a wedding.
    • The best thing I did for myself was: allocating time and money for monthly massages.
    • The best thing someone did for me was: telling me, seriously, that I write well.
    • The one thing I’d like to do again, but do it better, is: wow the fuck out of the judge at/after/because of/thanks to jury duty.
[from The Cat, of course, who snatched it from kwizgiver]
