    1. I think you can come to my wedding, yah.

It took for-freakin'-ever, but this one was a good one.

  2. all of this is on your iPod? I thought I had eclectic taste in music but, I have nothing on you... there has to be some stories to some of these ;))

I had never heard the The Ten Tenors version of "Rawhide" and while it is quite good, I think I am still a bit partial to the original Frankie Laine version:

    1. All this and 17,627 more - plus 9367 photos and a few videos and games. The Ten Tenors are an office fave, but you're right about Frankie Laine.

There are indeed stories about several of those songs & artists. Anything in particular that you're curious about? I'll be happy to fill in the blanks....

    2. wow, that is an amazing number... I have a bunch but, I think no more than half or two thirds that amount at the most... as for Frankie Laine, sometimes you just gotta stay with the classics ;)

I appreciate your offer to further illuminate me but, I think I prefer to just leave it there for now. I actually meant it more as a declarative than a question anyway... perhaps injecting a bit from my experience ;)

    3. Well, the offer stands if you change your mind.

  3. I consider it a major coup when I discover a good song that you don't already have downloaded. Doesn't happen that often...though I'm sure there is a wide swath of stuff of stuff I love that you wouldn't download without major arm-twisting. lol

    1. Our musical tastes - much like our, erm, 'literary' tastes - are not a perfect match, no. But without my friends' suggestions, I would never find the new stuff that I like so much. I'd hate to be stuck in a musical rut forever. Not likely, though, since I rarely listen to one band for very long at a time anymore.

And I had to laugh when M#ll#nc*mp shuffled up on your version of this....

    2. Yeah, I'll be thinking of him as Poop John for quite awhile now; glad you got the reference to you on that one. ;-)

Overall, however, I think you have a far deeper, and wider, span of music than I do. I admit freely that I listen to pure crap in Jango some days. Thursday, for instance, was utter aural junkfood, and SOOOOO yummy!

    3. I don't know why "Poop Lo Green" was funny, but it was. I guess that's channeling my inner 8-y-o boy, eh?

I believe that you have a deeper span of music than I do, and that my tastes often seem both shallow and too pop-trendy by comparison.

But I make up for that in my unreasonably obscure reading - lol...!
