no, thanks. The blog has, at times, been hit hard for the wrong reasons as a result of some off-the-cuff "celebrity" commentary I've made. I've no interest in getting back into that again. Besides, if I don't like them, why would I want to give them yet another mention online?
Here are five people/entities that I think worthy of some Internet energy:
- Leverage--the best show on TV, with the best ensemble cast maybe ever. Timothy Hutton is excellent in everything he's ever done, but his Nate Ford is a multi-faceted, brilliant wonder. Aldis Hodge is delightful, a hidden gem--and his improvisations are wonderful. Beth Riesgraf is crazy-good, and can do more with a look than most actors can with an hour. Christian Kane is GORGEOUS and plays Eliot Spencer with an understated depth that often has me reaching for the remote, to pick up the nuances again. And Gina Bellman, with the best accents ever, ties it all together perfectly.

"Can you hold for a minute? I'll transfer your call." It's not the idea of holding that's annoying--it's the specificity of the "minute." There's not even the slightest intention to keep the time to 60 seconds or less, so why bother saying "a minute"? Why not just stop at "hold"? Why can't people just stop when they're done with the useful part of what they're saying? - How often do you change your Facebook profile?
