1. What’s your favorite time of the year?
I feel the most at home in autumn, but I think I look forward more to spring. It is more open, holds more possibility. As I grow older, I have come to realize that some of the hardest parts of my life took place in the fall and winter, and that getting past this time of year feels like a gift.
2. Do you ever binge on TV shows?
I try not to, because I think I miss the details when I gorge. Lately I've been alternating seasons of various shows that I have on DVD, plus a couple that I watch on Freevee (through Amazon Prime): Criminal Minds, ReGenesis, Leverage, Homefront, Almost Paradise, and Star Trek: Next Generation.
3. Do you work out?
blergh! Yes. Not often enough, and not hard enough, but I try. Am trying. Will keep trying.
I walk outside when the weather's right, walk circles in the (tiny) mall when company's available, and otherwise walk on the treadmill or bike in the basement, and lift weights in the basement, too.
And thanks to this question, I exercised—hard—today, for the first time in a while.
4. What do you like to eat?
bread and butter. Cereal. Homemade soup. Roast beef. Bacon sandwiches. Fruit.
One of my favorite meals is not on this list, because I pretty much exclusively eat it when one certain person makes it for me. I don't even have a taste for it anywhere else, but I love it when he makes it.
5. Would you take a trip to outer space?
absolutely not. I have no interest, and the mere idea of it scares the bejeezus out of me.
6. What’s your favorite cartoon?
Bugs Bunny for the weekly ones, and Peanuts for the specials. I especially like the "Tortoise Beats Hare" and "Rabbit of Seville" episodes—the former because that silly wabbit finally gets his comeuppance, and the latter because it's endlessly silly. My favorite Peanuts is A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, which I love for its bittersweetness and the food preparation, which always makes me laugh.
7. Do you play any sports?
meh. I'm an excellent spectator!
8. What’s your drink of choice?
tea, (regular) Coke, Bubbl'r, Vitaminwater Zero, chocolate milk...
9. Is there any movie actor you just can’t stand?
YES! Though I take no end of shit for it, so I'm not going to name any names.
10. Do you go for stability or uncertainty?
I am drawn to uncertainty
