eleven good things about today

  1. SUNSHINE!
  2. Every song that I have on CD or my computer, all on my iPod and immediately accessible. I don't automatically love technology simply for technology's sake, but this innovation has really changed the way I listen to music.
  3. Vacation time for the people with whom I work.
  4. Red bra under stodgy evergreen cardigan. Hidden depths--and if they think that my earrings or necklace is the wildest thing about me, they're clearly missing something!
  5. Jade plants.
  6. Nip/Tuck. I'm watching the series on DVD with Matt. We're up to the third episode on the third disc of Season Two. Great show.
  7. The [surely unintentional] ego boost caused by the plaintive message that I received (via OkC) from the younger (i.e. Rugby) Eric.
  8. Picking out [disguised] Australian accents on actors on TV. Poppy Montgomery? Julian McMahon? Anthony LaPaglia? Kangaroos. All of 'em. Thank you, Wolfgang!
  9. The gradual recession of a hangover that just may teach me a lesson.
  10. Positive thinking about: the snow on my car being brush-off-able (rather than requiring scraping); getting to work on time; no problems requiring me to use my (temporary) powers; finding the bottom of a—any one of the many!—pile of work; leaving work on time; vacuuming the apartment; and getting a little extra sleep tonight.
  11. All y'all.
