busman's holiday

In my work, I often come across books that I would like to read (if I had the time). Sometimes it's something different by an author whose work I've enjoyed before. Sometimes it's a cover that cannot be resisted. Sometimes it's simply the title that catches me and won't let go.
Sometimes I take the items home and read them, straight away. Sometimes (like the last couple of weeks) I check them out and leave them here (at work), intending to take them home...tomorrow...until I need to give them back.
I found four today. One because of the author—Robb Forman Dew, who wrote The Evidence Against Her. It's the sequel to that book, called The Truth of the Matter. The other three are simply because of the titles: Ask Me Anything (Francesca Delbanco), Adultery for Beginners (Sarah Duncan), and Your Blue-Eyed Boy (Helen Dunmore—she also wrote the fantastic and disturbing A Spell of Winter).
These four will replace the last ones on my pile, all chosen for their titles: Lit Life (Kurt Wenzel); Enchanting Pleasures (Eloisa James); Translations of Beauty (Mia Yun); Don't Die Before You're Dead (Yevgeny Yevtushenko); and The Kind of Love that Saves You (Amy Yurk).
    Maybe I'll read this bunch....
