until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened

I went out for dinner and a drink on Thursday night, and over the course of the evening my three friends and I got to talking about personality traits. We all work for the same company, though in different departments, and I know them to quite varying degrees. As is so often the case with me, I started amateur-psychologizing them, claiming that it was apparent what sort of animal they would be. The raptor (later determined to be a shikra, specifically) was pretty happy with that analysis. The hedgehog [pygmy] was unsurprised--and the fact that she's married to a goldfish was also not too shocking. The Yorkshire terrier, though, was where it all seemed to break down. When I got home, I did some research on my own. I sense a trend in these answers...but the last one pleases me greatly.

What Animal Am I? I'm a Mongoose

What Animal Am I? Quiz I'm a Raccoon

What's Your Animal Personality? I'm a Rodent (and really, what kind of ridiculous answer is this??)

What Animal Are You? I'm a Fox

[the title quotation is by Anatole France]
